NAVY-ISM

Una de mis tendencias favoritas es la navy. A decir verdad más que tendencia es prácticamente un clásico, ya que es muy común ver prendas rayadas aparecer en las nuevas colecciones año a año. Son ítems fáciles de combinar que agregan un toque de onda y sofisticación a un look. Para hacer este outfit aún más interesante agregué un pañuelo floreado, que en realidad es el pedazo de tela que les comenté que compré en Tel Aviv. ¿No es muy lindo? 

Octubre es para mí un mes especial, por un lado es el mes de mi cumpleaños y por otro, este año se suma el primer aniversario de FashionistArg... Por ese motivo decidí hacer un sorteo pequeño pero muy copado para todos los que están del otro lado acompañandome! Voy a estar posteando las reglas y fotos de los premios en muy pocos días... Estén atentos!

One of my ultimate favorite trends is the navy inspired one. I actually believe it´s becoming more of classic, rather than a trend, given it´s very normal to see striped clothes in the new collections as years go by. Striped items are very easy to pair and I think the add an instant special touch and sophistication to an outfit. To make this look  slightly more interesting I added a flowery scarf, which is actually the piece of fabric that I told you I purchased at Tel Aviv. Isn´t it cute?

October is a very special month to me. On the one hand it´s the month of my birthday and then as of this year I´m adding FashionistArg´s anniversary too... For that reason I decided to do a small yet pretty cool giveaway for all of you who are on this journey with me! I´ll be posting the rules and the pictures of the prizes very soon... Stay tuned!

EXOTIC MINT CLICHÉ

La última salida turística que hice en Torino antes de irme fue ir a la "Venaria Reale". Solía ser el palacio donde se alojaban los prestigiosos Savoy cuando querían disfrutar un tiempo de relajo y caza. Se construyó a mediados del siglo 17 y sus jardines son de una extensión y una belleza poco vista. 

Esto es lo que me puse ese día! De nuevo, al igual que el día que fui a recorrer Milán, lo más importante era la comodidad. Armé mi look con un conjunto MINT todo combinadito, para el disgusto de algunos y el contento de otros, y rematé con mis nuevas gafas y mis sandalias chatas preferidas de este verano. 

Qué les parece este color? 

Los pasteles me gustan porque dan la sensación de que tengo un poco más de color en la piel :)

The very last touristy spot I visited before leaving Torino was the "Venaria Reale". It used to be the palace where the prestigious Savoy family would spend their leisure time and  enjoy hunting. It was built in the mid 17th century and it´s never-ending gardens are a sight to see. 

This is what i wore that day! Just like when i got dressed to go spend the day in Milan the most important thing was to be comfortable. I chose a very matchy-matchy mint colored outfit (which some might love and some might hate!) and added the finishing touch with my new sunnies and favorite flat summer sandals.

i like pastels because they make my skin look slightly tanned :)

DANISH SUMMER DATE

Tratá de leer el título 3 veces seguidas. Se complica! :)

En el post de hoy les traigo el look que usé para salir a comer afuera con Gui hace un par de semanas, cuando lo fui a visitar a Dinamarca. Por esas latitudes el calor es más sutil y son más frecuentes los días nublados y ventosos. Por eso tuve que optar por un outfit más calentito. 

Mi gusto y atracción por el animal print no se va, asique cuando vi esta camisa fue amor a primera vista! Por módicos 20 euros fue mía, como te quiero H&M!

In today´s post I wanted to share with you the outfit I wore for a dinner date in Denmark, a few weeks ago when I was visiting Gui. Over there, summer heat is more subtle and most days the weather´s cloudy and windy. For that reason I had to go for a warmer outfit.

My love for leopard print is still on so when I saw this blouse it was love at first sight! For just 20 euros it was mine. Oh H&M do I love you!

MILAN: White tee + Leggings

Hace menos de un mes, en un instante de lucidez, me di cuenta que estaba verdaderamente cerca de Milán y que sería una vergüenza irme de Italia sin ir a conocer semejante ciudad, gran meca de la moda internacional. Le comenté mis ganas a mi amiga María y le pareció una buena idea ir a pasar el día allá.

Considerando que íbamos a caminar bastante, elegí un outfit bien cómodo: una remera de hilo blanca, unas calzas cómodas y mis sandalias de Eve Milano por las cuales tengo una fascinación poco común. Si me siguen en instagram ya las deben conocer, porque las uso muchísimo!  También me había puesto una camisa de animal print, pero hacía tanto calor que al poco tiempo se fue a dormir a la cartera.

Si bien solo estuve en Milán durante un día fue suficiente para dejarme asombrada. La arquitectura es increíble, así como también la dinámica que se siente en la ciudad y el estilo de sus transeúntes. Espero poder volver pronto y disfrutarla un poco más.

Qué me puse? remera de Zara, leggings de Forever 21, sandalias de Eve Milano, cartera y aros de H&M, reloj de Swatch.

A little less than a month ago, in a moment of clarity, I realized how physically close I was from Milan (2 hours by car from Turin) and thought it would be pretty shameful for me to leave Italy without visiting no only an amazing city  but also an   international fashion mecca. I told my friend Maria about this and she loved the idea of going there together and spend the day.

Considering that I was going to do a lot of walking, I chose my outfit accordingly: an easy breezy white linen tee, comfy leggings and my Eve Milano sandals which I’ve been deeply in love with lately. If you follow me on Instagram then you must have seen them already! I wear them all the time… I was also wearing a leopard print blouse but it was too hot outside, so eventually it crept into my bag and took a nap.

Even though I was in Milan only for a day I think it was enough  time to amaze me. the architecture is  unbelievable, and so is the dynamic of the city and the style of its people. I hope I get the chance to come back soon and enjoy it a little more.

CLOSET ESSENTIALS: Little Black Shorts

Hola a todos!

El ítem protagonista del look de hoy son estos shorts negros! Han sido grandes aliados durante las últimas semanas en que el calor ha estado al borde de lo insoportable.

Están hechos con una tela rígida que les aporta cierta estructura y a la vez un cierto aire de elegancia. Me encanta que no sean pegados al cuerpo ni excesivamente cortos que son dos cualidades que se repiten constantemente en las opciones que veo en los negocios acá. Esos también son lindos, pero más que nada dentro del probador y no tanto en la vida real. Al menos a mi me pasa que camino un par de metros y se me suben ridículamente revelando partes de mi anatomía que preferiría reservar para la playa.

En fin, volviendo al punto! Creo que un par de shorts como éstos debería formar parte del guardarropa de toda mujer… sirven para las épocas de calor, como también para cuando hace frío. Me imagino combinándolos con medias largas y unas lindas botas.

En el caso de estas fotos el look es muy simple, pero perfecto para un día de paseo por la Basílica de Superga, uno mas de los tantos puntos turísticos e históricos de Torino y que he tenido el gusto de visitar.

Hi everyone!

The main item on today´s look is this pair of little black shorts! We´ve become great friends in the past few weeks when the African heat wave has made Torino´s weather almost unbearable.

They are made of a very rigid fabric that makes them structured and at the same time gives them a bit of an elegant flare. I love how they are not completely glued to my body nor extremely short. Those seem to be the general characteristics in terms of shorts that I’ve been able to find in stores here… extremely tight and short! It´s not that I don´t like them… they just happen to look great in the dressing room, but the minute you walk with them they start going up and start revealing parts of your body that I think should be saved for the beach only.

Anyways… back to the point! I think every girl should own a pair of black shorts like these… they are good for warm weather but also for colder days. I picture myself in winter wearing them with tights and a nice pair of boots.

In today´s post I’m wearing them in a very simple way. A perfect outfit for a day out and about visiting a very touristy spot in Turin: The Church of Superga.
