25!

El viernes pasado fue mi cumpleaños. Y el título del post indica mi nueva edad: 25.
Estoy muy contenta de haber podido pasarlo en Buenos Aires, ya que mis 2 cumples anteriores estaba en otros países, y no de vacaciones como tal vez imaginen, sino trabajando. Asique fue muy lindo poder celebrar con familia y amigos, como se debe! :) Gracias a todos aquellos que me saludaron en mi día!!
Ahora, hablemos de moda! El vestido de estas fotos lo compré en el H&M de Tel Aviv por la suma módica de 50 NIS, el equivalente a $50 argentinos... Nada mal no? Me llamó la atención su estampado y los colores. Está claro que me encanta que sea en animal print, pero a eso se le suma que tengo una debilidad por el azul, lo cual hace de esta prenda un híbrido perfecto al combinar todo junto.
Como ya es bastante llamativo en sí mismo, me pareció que lo mejor era combinarlo con accesorios más simples para que el balance sea positivo y no demasiado ruidoso. 

Qué les parece el look? Les gustan los vestidos en animal print?

Last friday was my birthday. And the title of this post indicates my current age: 25.

I´m very happy I was able to spend it in Buenos Aires, given my previous 2 birthdays I was away working in other countries. So it was really nice to celebrate a little bit with family and firends! The way it should be, right? :)

Thank you very much to all of you who greeted me on my special day!! 

Now, let´s talk about fashion! I bought this dress at H&M Tel Aviv for 50 NIS, which is the equivalent to 12 or 13 USD... Not bad, right?? I was drawn to it because of its colorful print. It´s not a secret that I love -mostly- anything animal print. Also I have a thing for blue... So putting it all together in one pretty dress made for a perfect hybrid. 

Considering it´s already very loud on its own I thought the best way of balancing its boldness was to pair it with simple accessories.

DANISH SUMMER DATE

Tratá de leer el título 3 veces seguidas. Se complica! :)

En el post de hoy les traigo el look que usé para salir a comer afuera con Gui hace un par de semanas, cuando lo fui a visitar a Dinamarca. Por esas latitudes el calor es más sutil y son más frecuentes los días nublados y ventosos. Por eso tuve que optar por un outfit más calentito. 

Mi gusto y atracción por el animal print no se va, asique cuando vi esta camisa fue amor a primera vista! Por módicos 20 euros fue mía, como te quiero H&M!

In today´s post I wanted to share with you the outfit I wore for a dinner date in Denmark, a few weeks ago when I was visiting Gui. Over there, summer heat is more subtle and most days the weather´s cloudy and windy. For that reason I had to go for a warmer outfit.

My love for leopard print is still on so when I saw this blouse it was love at first sight! For just 20 euros it was mine. Oh H&M do I love you!

TANGERINE DREAMS

Hola a todos!

Feliz Lunes! Mientras ustedes comienzan la semana, yo me recupero de mi fin de semana laboral, como de costumbre. Espero que tengan un excelente comienzo de semana! :)

AHORA...

Hablemos del Outfit: Un color que está muy presente en las tendencias primavera-verano 12´es el naranja. Pero no es cualquier naranja... es más como mandarina -ergo el título- (Sephora+Pantone dicen que "tangerine tango" es el color del año... ejem!)  que tiene un poco más de rojo a diferencia del naranja propiamente dicho que tiene como más amarrillo. Cachai? Entonces, estuve en H&M hace unos días y decidí adquirir estos pantalones para satisfacer mi sed de tendencia tangerine. PERO eso no es todo. La capa de Super-Leopard-Woman que llevo no es algo nuevo... es mi pashmina de siempre! (ver aquí y aquí también). Mi amiga Nicole, que siempre me pasa videitos interesantes y con ideas copadas, me pasó un tutorial de cómo hacerte un chaleco con un pañuelo, simplemente se dobla y se hace un nudo. No es GENIAL? les dejo el link para que lo prueben :) Igual ahí no termina. Hay una historia más. Hace poco más de dos años me fui de vacaciones al Noroeste Argentino y pude cruzar un par de días a la ciudad de Tupiza, en Bolivia. Ahí, las mujeres del lugar tienen una froma de vestirse muy particular y única que me llamó mucho la atención. Lo que más me gustó es el modo en que llevan su pelo: 2 trenzas larguísimas que llevan siempre un detalle al final, unos adornos con mostacillas o hechos de tela/lana. Yo me compré estos de lana... Los he usado como cinturón, como collar y obviamente en el pelo. :)

OTRAS IDEAS: Para un look un poco más suave usaría una camisa semi transparente en blanco o un color crema con unas chatitas clásicas y un clutch-sobre de cartera. Para un look más boho creo que quedaría increíble con una túnica estampada, muchas pulseras onda tribal y un buen collar de piedras!

Se animan a los pantalones tangerine? Cómo los usarían ustedes?

Happy Monday! While you guys start your week, i´m getting some rest after working during the weekend, as usual. I hope your week starts wonderfully! :)

NOW...

Let´s talk about the look: If there´s one color that´s definitely making a statement for SS 12´it´s got to be orange. But not just any orange... it´s tangerine -hence the title- (according to Sephora+Pantone "tangerine-tango" is the color of the year... just sayin´!) which has a bit more RED than the usual orange that´s made with a bit more yellow in its mix. Get it? So, i was at H&M a few days ago and i decided to get these pants to quench my tangerine-trend thirst. BUT that´s not it. My Super-Leopard-Woman cape is not something new that i bought... Oh no! it´s just my good-ol´animal print scarf (seen here and also here). My good friend Nicole, who always sends me cool videos with interesting ideas and projects to try, shared with me the link to a tutorial that shows you how to make a vest with a scarf. You just have to fold it and tie it once and that´s it. Isn´t it AMAZING? Here´s the link in case you guys want to learn too! :) Ok, but I´m not done yet. There´s one more story left! A little bit over 2 years ago, during my summer holidays, i visited the northwest of Argentina and just for a few days i also visited the city of Tupiza, in Bolivia. Over there, one of the things that caught my attention were the local women who happen to have a very unique style. And one of the things i liked about them the most was the way the do their hair: 2 very long braids that have a very cute ornament placed at the ends (see picture above). Sometimes they are beaded some other times made of fabric or wool. I bought a pair of the woolen ones... I´ve worn them as a belt, as a necklace and of course on my hair. :)

OTHER PAIRING IDEAS:

For a softer look i´d use a white or cream colored sheer blouse with a pair of plain flats and an envelope clutch. For a more boho feel I´d pair them with a printed tunic, lots of tribal bracelets and a big statement necklace.

CIAO TRAPEZIO RED!

Llegó la hora de revelar mi nuevo paradero temporal... aunque a juzgar por el título ya deberías tener una noción de donde me encuentro. 


Estoy en Italia! :)


Precisamente en la ciudad de Torino -también conocida como Turin-, que se encuentra al noroeste de este país... Llegué el miércoles pasado luego de 15 horas de viaje, pero con la diferencia horaria (son 5 horas más que en BsAs) yo sentí que fueron muchas más. Mi cuerpo y mi cabeza estaban totalmente confundidos. Asique aquí estoy! Los posts de las siguientes semanas van a ser todos desde acá. Espero que disfruten de los looks, así como también de lo que les iré mostrando y contando de esta ciudad tan linda que ya me tiene hechizada!


A diferencia de lo que la mayoría piensa, el italiano no es TAN parecido al español. Hay una similitud evidente en la entonación y la melodía de los idiomas, pero son muy distintos... Con decir que para comunicarme con algunas personas de acá prefieren que usemos el inglés como punto de encuentro! Gracias a google, youtube y el idioma gestual me arreglo. Veremos si con el tiempo aprendo al menos un poco más. 


En este look, de nuevo estoy utilizando una prenda que era de la genia de mi abuela, Vieji. En realidad era una falda pero hace años le corté dos agujeros y lo convertí en un chaleco... pero no lo había usado nunca. Lo reencontré en casa mientras hacía orden en mi placard y me lo traje. La silueta trapezoidal que lo caracteriza genera un look que mezcla lo sofisticado y lo cómodo.

It is time to reveal my current temporary whereabouts... However, if you read the title then you should have at least a feeling of where it might be.


I´m in Italy! :)


Specifically in the city of Turin, which is located in the northwest of this country... I arrived last Wednesday after 15 hours of travel, which was quite a ride. And plus the fact that its 5 hours + here than at home i felt like the trip had been even longer... Both my body and head were quite confused! So anyways... here i am! For the next weeks expect to see me posting from here. I hope you enjoy my outfits as well as what i´ll be showing and telling you about this beautiful city that´s already got me under its spell! 


Contrary to popular beliefs, the Italian language is almost nothing like Spanish. There is a clear similarity in terms of the intonation and the melody of the languages, but besides that they´re very different... So much so that some of the people i work with prefer to talk to me in english than trying to understand my spanish... sigh. Thanks to google, youtube and gestures, i get by. We´ll see if in time i get to master the language!


For this outfit I am -yet again- using something that belonged to Vieji, my awesome grandmother. This was actually a skirt but years ago i cut two holes on the sides and transformed it into a vest... but i had never worn it up until now. I was lucky  to find it at home while i was tidying up my closet and I decided to bring it here. It´s trapezium-like shape helps to create a look that´s both sophisticated and comfortable.

Bold Lips & Black Velveteen

En el post de hoy no tengo mucho que contar, asique voy a aprovechar para cumplir con algo que mi fellow blogger Debbie (de debbienoestá checkeen su blog!) me pasó y consiste en contar 7 verdades y elegir 15 personas para que hagan lo mismo (Pay It Forward! Ja)

Acá vamos:

• Soy insoportable con la comida. Cuando era chiquita solo comía arroz y fideos. A raíz de haber trabajado en restaurants creo haber mejorado un poco, pero sigo siendo muy selectiva. Eso sí, todo lo que es DULCE es mi perdición.
• NUNCA veo películas de miedo ni de terror, me parecen poco constructivas y desagradables.
• Atravesé una etapa pseudo punk en la adolescencia. Iba a al colegio con pantalón gris de varón, cinturón de tachas y usaba pins en mi sweater arriba del loguito del colegio. Aún tengo un profundo amor por las tachas y a veces pongo Green Day a todo volumen en el auto y mi pequeña punk revive (adrenalina pura!).
• Estoy en un momento de mi vida que no puedo salir al mundo sin make up. Si o si me tengo que poner ALGO. El glow de las fotos? No es natural guys… Mac Skinfinish, uno de mis productos favoritos!
• Soy muy optimista y creo que no hay imposibles. Con esfuerzo, trabajo, fe y perseverancia se puede conseguir lo que uno quiera! Think outside the box.
• Tengo una cicatriz arriba de la boca que me marcó de por vida. Me mordió un perro cuando tenía 11 años y fue una experiencia poco agradable. Gracias a dios quedé bastante bien y con el tiempo se fue suavizando la marca. A pesar de lo que la mayoría piensa, sigo amando los perros con todo mi corazón, solo me dan miedo los ovejeros alemanes.
• La música es una de mis grandes pasiones… es impresionante todo lo que se puede transmitir a través del sonido. No puedo vivir sin ella!
• Soy pésima copiloto… me da mucho miedo como maneja la gente, por ende soy bastante aburrida como conductora. Pero bueno, supongo que los que inventaron las reglas dirían que soy una conductora aplicada. :)

Ok, for today´s post i haven´t got much to tell, so i´m gonna go ahead and do something that fellow blogger Debbie (from DebbieNoEsta check out her blog!) asked of me. All I have to do is tell 7 truths about myself and choose 15 people to do the same (pay it forward! LOL).

Here we go:

I´m terrible when it comes to food. When I was a little girl all I could eat was rice and pasta. I think I’ve gotten a little better now… given that i´ve worked in restaurants. But I’m still very picky. Now, I do have a weak spot for anything sweet!

I NEVER EVER watch horror or scary movies. I think they´re not constructive and highly unpleasant.

When I was a teenager I went through a slight pseudo-punk phase. I´d wear grey pants (the ones that the boys wore)to school, studded belt and punkie pins on my v-neck uniform sweater. I´m still totally smitten on studs and sometimes i´ll play one of my Green Day cds full blast on my car and have my lil´punk re-surface for a while (pure adrenaline!).

I´m going through a stage in life where I can´t go out to the world without make up. I HAVE to wear at least something. The glow on my pictures? Not natural guys! It´s the magic of Mac´s Skinfinish, one of my favorite products!

I´m very optimistic and I believe nothing is impossible. With hard work, effort, faith and persistence you can achieve what you want! Think outside the box.

I have a scar above my mouth that marked me for life. A dog bit me when I was eleven, it was certainly a very unpleasant experience. Thank God I turned out fine and with time the mark slightly faded. Despite what most people think, I still love dogs… i´m only scared of German Shepherds.

Music is one of my great passions. I think it’s amazing all that can be transmitted through sound.  I can´t live without it!

I´m a terrible co-driver… i´m very scared of how people drive these days, therefore you could say i´m a very boring driver. I guess that those who invented driving rules would say i´m a very decent driver.
