YA SÉ, YA SÉ que las camisas de jean están "quemadas"! El tema es que yo llegué un poco tarde a querer una... y una vez que activé la búsqueda me tomé mi tiempo para encontrar "the one". jaja es un poco ridículo el pensar que idealizamos una prenda y que nos genera una emoción desorbitada encontrarla. Pero bueno, creo que uno de los rasgos más predecibles en la personalidad de una mujer es el consumismo innegable que habita adentro nuestro como un pequeño Godzilla que espera ser alimentado. A veces el ciclo es más extenso, a veces es más corto y exige con más frecuencia. Anyway, volviendo al punto: encontré mi camisa de jean.
Cuando inicié la búsqueda, pensé en 3 características importantes:
COLOR: No podía ser ni jean muy claro, ni muy oscuro.
BOTÓN: Si o si quería que fuesen snaps, si eran perlados mejor.
FORMA: Quería que fuese femenina, o sea levemente entallada en la cintura.
Considerando que estoy en Estados Unidos hace un tiempo, podría decir que mi fiebre Forever 21 ya pasó... puedo ir bastante tranquila a sus locales y mantener la compostura para elegir cosas y no avasallar con todo lo que me parece lindo. Asique, después de buscar en otras marcas y no dar la camisa correcta, fui a un MEGA Forever a ver si la encontraba ahí. EUREKA! apareció, me la probé, me gustó, me pareció bien el precio, sentí esa satisfacción similar a una victoria, me la llevé y ACÁ ESTÁ. Say hello to my shirt! :)
El lunes fui con mi novio a conocer Daytona Beach, con la ilusión de tomar sol, leer mi nueva Nylon, jugar otro torneo de generala, meter los pies en el agua y hundirme en la arena mojada con el vaivén del agua del mar... PERO nada de eso aconteció señores! Hacía UN FRÍO... aguanté 5 minutos al aire libre y tuve que meterme de nuevo en el auto.
Note to self: recordar que en Florida es técnicamente invierno. No se va a la playa en invierno. En fin, espero que les gusten las fotos hechas contre vent et marées.

I KNOW, I KNOW what you´re thinking… Denim shirts are not hip anymore. The thing is that I arrived a little late at the idea of wanting one… and once I started my quest to look for one I took my time to find “the one”. Haha I know it´s a little ridiculous to think that we can idealize a certain garment so much to the point of feeling stupidly excited when finding it. Anyways, I think that one of the most predictable aspects of women´s personalities is the unavoidable consumerism that lives inside of us, like this tiny Godzilla that waits to be fed. Sometimes the cycle lasts longer, sometimes its shorter and it pushes us more frequently. Anyways, back to the point: I found my denim shirt.
When the search started I thought of 3 important characteristics:
COLOR: it couldn´t be washed out denim neither dark blue denim.
BUTTON: I wanted them to be snaps, if pearly even better.
SHAPE: I wanted it to be feminine, therefore slightly waisted.
Considering I’ve been in the states for a while now, I think I can say that I no longer suffer from the Forever 21 fever. I can go to their stores calmly and keep myself together to choose wisely without piling up my arms with every single item I find cute. So, after looking in other stores for my shirt and leaving empty handed, I went to a GINORMOUS forever 21 store to try my luck there. And BINGO! I found one, I tried it on, I liked it, I thought the price was right, I felt that satisfaction similar to a victory, bought it and HERE IT IS! Say hello to my shirt! J
On Monday I went with my boyfriend to Daytona Beach with the illusion that I would sunbathe, read my newest Nylon magazine, play dice, put my feet in the water and let them sink in the wet sand as the water went back and forth… BUT, none of that happened! It was SO COLD… I couldn´t stand being more than 5 minutes out in the cold before running back to the car seeking for shelter and warmth.
Note to self: Remember that in Florida it´s technically winter. And you DON´T go to the beach during winter. Anyway, I hope you like these pictures taken contre vent et marées.
