¡Feliz viernes!

Hoy debería estar subiendo un nuevo video de belleza, pero con lo ajetreada que fue ésta semana, quedará para mañana. 

Por ende, quería compartir las fotos de un look súper casual que usé hace unos días cuando fuimos con Gui a turistear un poco. Como se imaginarán, una de las paradas obligadas en Roma es el Coliseo Romano. Justo en frente del mismo se encuentra el foro romano y el palatino, a donde se puede acceder con el mismo ticket… Un viaje en el tiempo sin lugar a dudas.

Dios nos regaló un día espléndido con sol y muy poco frío para disfrutar el paseo,  una caminata que culminó unas horas más tarde luego de disfrutar un delicioso gelatto (¡de pistacchio y fruti di bosco!) en Giolitti, una heladería emblemática de Roma que recomiendo visitar.

I should be posting a new beauty video today, but given how busy I was this week it´ll have to wait until tomorrow.

So, instead I wanted to share some pictures of a super casual outfit I wore a few days ago when Gui and I did a little tourism around Rome. As you might already imagine, one of the places you must visit is the Colosseum. Right next to it you can also find the Roman Forum and the Palatine and you can access all three places with one ticket only. A journey back in time is guaranteed. 

God gave us the gift of a beautiful day: sunny and not very cold so we could enjoy our tour, a long walk that ended deliciously well with a gelatto (pistacchio & fruti di bosco!) at Giolitti, a historical ice cream shop that you should totally visit if coming here.  

By the way, I wanted to ask you… Would you like for me to share a post with tips, places to go to and interesting finds from Rome?

Hay días en los que me gusta ir bien libre y fresca. Y como no puedo ir al trabajo en pijama, es en esas ocasiones que me encanta usar un maxi vestido. Una opción distendida y femenina. Para ir un poco más discreta al trabajo (y protegerme del aire acondicionado) me puse mi -ya súper conocida- camisita de jean. Un outfit sencillo, pero que funciona. Y ustedes...

Some days I just want to feel comfortable and fresh. Given I can´t show up to work in my PJ´s I usually go for a trustworthy maxidress. I think they make me look girly and laidback. However, to remain decent enough to show up to work (and protect myself from the AC´s cold front) I added my cute demin shirt. The result: a very simple yet nice outfit.

How do you pair your maxidresses?

MYKONOS

En septiembre de este año pude cumplir uno de mis sueños: conocer Grecia. Es normal tener destinos idílicos en el tintero de los sueños...¿no? Estaba en mi lista de pendientes y lo pude concretar. Las fotos que les muestro hoy las tomamos en el balcón de nuestra habitación, en la isla de Mykonos, un lugar perfecto para desconectar y disfrutar de unos días de descanso... Agua turquesa, casitas blancas pintorescas y excelente compañía. ¿Qué más se puede pedir?

El look es muy sencillo pero ideal para un día de verano en la playa... La camisa de jean es la perfecta aliada para sacar del bolso cuando cae el sol y refresca. ¿Los zapatos? Claramente no los usé para ir a la playa! Pero me divertía darle un poco de glamour a la situación. :)

In september I was able to fulfill one of my dreams: taking a trip to Greece. I guess its normal to have these kind of ideal desinations in the back of your head, right? Well it happened to be in my "to do" list and I was able to make it happen. The pictures you see here were taken on the balcony of our hotel room in the island of Mykonos, a perfect place to disconnect from reality and enjoy a much deserved break... Clear water, beautiful picturesque houses and great company. What more could I ask for?
As to the outfit, its very simple yet perfect for a day at the beach.. The denim shirt is a great choice to pull out of your tote once the sun has set and it gets chilly... And the shoes? Well of course I didn´t wear them to the beach!! I just felt like adding a little glamour to this shoot! :)

A VECES LLUEVE...

Es cierto que la lluvia no le agrada a mucha gente. Complica el transito, moja los pies, da sueño y ganas de quedarse en casa viendo películas, tomando sopa y comiendo chocolate. Pero también refresca, hace que las plantas y los árboles se vean más verdes y da la sensación que revitaliza al mundo. A mí me gusta la lluvia. El ruido que hace cuando cae sobre el techo me tranquiliza y adormece, casi como una canción de cuna. 

Anyways...

Justo antes de irme de USA me compré una buclera. Fiel a la contradicción típica de las mujeres en cuanto al pelo, siendo que el mío es súper lacio siempre deseé tener pelo ondulado o con rulos.  Pero las pocas veces que intenté hacerme rulos siempre terminaban desapareciendo al cabo de media hora. Viendo un par de tutorials en Youtube me di cuenta que lo que estaba necesitando era un producto que los fijara en su lugar. Y lo logré! Con el uso del mousse Luxurious Volume de John Frieda ahí se quedan por horas! :) 

Qué experimentos han hecho con su pelo?

Qué me puse? camisa de jean  y falda negra de Forever 21, sweater marrón y medias negras de H&M, botas de gamuza de Aldo, aros + collar piña H&M, vincha-collar Macy´s.

It´s true that a lot of people don´t like rain. It complicates traffic, wets your feet, makes you sleepy and inspires you to wish you could stay home watching movies, eating soup and dishing on yummy chocolate bars. But It also freshens the air, makes plants and trees look greener and to me it feels like it revitalizes everything. I happen to like rain. I love the noise it makes when it hits the roof… it soothes and relaxes my senses, almost like a lullaby.

Anyways…

Right before I left the US I bought a curling iron. Us women happen to be ridiculously obsessed with having the hair that we weren´t born with. So in my case, given that I have fine and straight hair i´ve always craved wavy big hair. But the few times I gave it a try, the curls would disappear in as little as 30 minutes. But recently, after watching a few tutorials on Youtube I realized that all I was missing was a good product to fix those curls in place. And I made it!! With John Frieda´s luxurious volume mousse my waves stay in place for hours!
