LEMON LIME GREEN N´ JEANS!

Aloha todos!  

En mi último post de moda armé un look combinando dos tendencias que incorporé recientemente, las faldas de corte irregular y las glitter flats. Para el de hoy, agrego una más: el verde lima! Junto con el animal print me están persiguiendo y cada vez que entro a un local, me veo instantáneamente atraída a las prendas de este tipo. Este sweater es perfecto para Orlando, donde el clima no es frío… pero a la mañana puede estar bastante fresco. Lo que más me gusta de este color es que al ser así de saturado, le da al look un aire alegre y pop! Qué les parece??

Aloha everyone!

In my most recent fashion post i paired my look mixing two trends that were recently added to my wardrobe, hi-lo skirts and glitter flats. For today´s look, I’m adding another trend: Lime Green! Together with  animal print they have been haunting me! Each time I walk into a store I find myself instantly attracted to garments of this nature. This sweater is perfect for Orlando, where the weather isn´t very cold… but can get chilly in the morning. What I like the most about this saturated color is the fact that it gives a joyful pop to any look. What do you think?

Tutorial de make up #4: cómo aplicar prebase, base y corrector!

Hola!

Al fin un video nuevo!! No es gran cosa, pero quería compartir esto con ustedes! En este video les muestro como aplicar prebase (el famoso "primer"), base de maquillaje y corrector. Aprovecho para recordarles que yo no soy maquilladora profesional, aprendí mirando otros videos en youtube y practicando. Creo que  un buen make up es un detalle súper importante del aspecto personal y todo empieza con la cara! 

En el video me olvidé de decir algo muy importante! Antes de realizar estos 3 pasos, la cara debe estar limpia y en lo posible hidratada con crema facial. Si hasta ahora venías poniéndote en la cara la misma crema que para el cuerpo, es un buen momento para enterarte que eso no es lo ideal. Intentá cambiar, e incorporá una para cara. En Farmacity podés conseguir una Ponds, que son súper económicas, y dar el primer paso.

Hello!

At last a new video!! It´s not a big deal, but I wanted to share this with you! In this video I show you how to apply primer, foundation and concealer. Also I wanted to go ahead and remind you that I’m not a professional makeup artist, I learnt by watching other Youtube videos and by practicing. I believe that a good make up is a very important detail in our appearance and it all starts with the face!

In the video I forgot to mention something very important! Before doing these 3 steps, the face should be clean and also hydrated with facial cream/lotion. If up until now you´ve been using your body lotion on your face then this is probably a good opportunity to tell you that´s not the ideal thing to do. Try to change, and get a facial cream/lotion. Check out your local pharmacy, they have very affordable ones, and take your first step!

2 trends = 1 outfit!

Como buena aficionada a la moda, sigo de cerca las nuevas tendencias. Hoy en día es muy fácil tener acceso a las mismas. En revistas, páginas web y blogs podemos encontrar todo tipo de imágenes que nos muestran los “destacados” de cada temporada, desde la pasarela hasta el street style. En los tiempos que corren es muy difícil definir un estilo único que sea el aceptado, más bien diría que esta época se caracteriza por el individualismo y la libertad de elección al momento de vestirnos. Sin embargo, hay ciertos códigos y/o reglas que las marcas siguen al momento de diseñar… delinean ciertos parámetros y recursos sobre los cuales moverse y por eso vemos creaciones geniales, pero al mismo tiempo podemos establecer conexiones entre una marca y otra. Ahora bien, las tendencias son muchas y no tenemos por qué adaptarnos a cada una de ellas, pero es normal caer bajo las garras de algunas. En el día de hoy les muestro mis 2 nuevas debilidades: las faldas de corte irregular y las glitter flats.

Being such a big fan of all things fashion, i follow up on new trends constantly. Nowadays it’s very easy to have access to them. We can find all sorts of trends in magazines, websites and blogs; they show us the highlights of every season, from the runway to the style seen on the streets. Currently it´s very hard to define a unique style of its own that is generally accepted by everyone, I’d actually say it´s the opposite… individualism and freedom reign when it comes to choosing how to dress up. However, there certainly are some codes and rules that brands follow when designing… they set a few guidelines within their creativity, and that´s why we can see great creations, but at the same time we can establish a conection between different brands. There are many trends and we´re certainly not forced to follow all of them, but it´s normal to catch on to a few. On today´s post I wanted to show you my 2 new weaknesses: irregular length skirts and glitter flats.

Feliz/Happy 2012! maxi-sweater

Hola a todos! 

Estuve totalmente desaparecida las últimas semanas... mi trabajo me tuvo ocupadíiiiiiiiiiiisima, pero acá estoy de nuevo! Reportándome desde Orlando esta vez... y por unos meses, acá me quedo!

Antes que nada quiero desearles un muy feliz año nuevo! Por más que sea un día más y no se sienta distinto del anterior, nuestros calendarios cambian, nos renovamos psíquicamente y nos proponemos nuevos  desafíos. Podemos dejar atrás lo malo o lo que no nos gustó del año pasado y sentir que tenemos una nueva oportunidad para hacer del nuevo uno mejor. 

La mayoría de ustedes sabrá que en Estados Unidos la ropa es significativamente más accesible que en Argentina. Asique considerando semejantes abismos en la diferencia de precio, siempre que vengo a USA aprovecho para comprar cosas nuevas. Una tienda muy conocida, barata y llena de opciones es Forever 21. Mi Outfit del día tiene 2 prendas de esa marca: el maxi-sweater y los jeans (elastizados, obvio! Ya les conté que dejé de sufrir los jeans duros y apretados hace tiempo...).

Festejé el año en una fiesta en una calle del downtown de Orlando. Fue muy divertido! Vi muchas lentejuelas, terciopelo y animal print por la calle. Ustedes cómo lo pasaron? Alguna tendencia a destacar?

Hi everyone!

I´ve been completely gone for the past few weeks… my job kept me veeeeeeery busy, but here I am again! Reporting from Orlando this time… this is where I’ll be for the next few months!

Before saying anything else I wanted to wish you all a happy new year! Even if it´s just another day that´s gone by and it doesn´t feel any different from the previous one… our calendars change, we get mentally renewed and we challenge ourselves to achieve new goals. We can leave behind all the bad stuff and the things we didn´t like about the year and feel like we get a new opportunity to make the new one a better one.

I guess that most of you know that in the United States clothes are significantly cheaper than in Argentina. Considering these amazing price differences, each time I come to the US I usually take advantage of this to buy new things. Forever 21 is a very well known store. It´s cheap and it´s filled with options. For this outfit i´m wearing 2 items purchased at this store: the maxi-sweater and the jeans (stretchy, of course! I´ve mentioned already that i´ve left behind the days when I used to suffer from hard tight jeans).

I celebrated new year´s eve at a street party in downtown Orlando. It was a lot of fun! I saw lots of sequins, velvet and animal print on the streets. What did you do? Did you spot any cool trends?
