AL FIN, UN TRENCH!

Hace mucho tiempo que quería incorporar un trench a mi colección de ropa... Y con las rebajas de Zara y sus tentadores descuentos, no me pude seguir resistiendo. No fue una ganga, porque vamos -como dicen en España- no es una remerita! Igual, era una  buena oportunidad y no la desaproveché. 

Una prenda que sin lugar a dudas nos transmite una vibra londinense, de la cual culpamos enteramente a Burberry, es un gran aliado para esos días nublados, algo frescos y en los cuales asoma la lluvia. Supongo que en algún momento hace unas cuantas décadas fue una "novedad" pero hoy en día se considera a esta prenda un clásico más de la moda.

La parte graciosa del día en que tomamos estas fotos es que amaneció súper nublado y según mi app del Weather Channel se venía una tormenta importante... lo cual luego terminó por ser una bruta falacia y salió el sol, traicionando así mi excusa para usarlo. De todos modos, no hay motivos para no sonreír en una linda tarde de verano... Ni siquiera si el trench te da calor. ;)

For a while now I´ve been wanting to add a trench coat  to my closet... So I took advantage of the summer sales to get one at Zara, with a discount of course. It wasn´t a bargain because, hey, we´re not talking about a T-shirt. However I feel like I got it for a good price. 

This item has certainly got a very London-ish vibe, to which Burberry is completely guilty of, and of course a great ally for those chilly and cloudy days when it might rain. This piece, which I´m sure was a novelty a few dacades ago, has turned into an absolute closet staple.

Now, the funny thing is, the day we shot these pictures I awoke to a cloudy sky AND my weather channel app anticipated a storm later during the day. This, of course, turned out to be false because the sun came out and shone beautifully, making my excuse of wearing my new trench completely absurd. However, how could one refrain from smiling on a lovely summer afternoon? Not even if the trench is too warm. ;)

LE MINI BACKPACK

Buen domingo para todos! Espero que puedan aprovecharlo para descansar y disfrutar sus familias ᴖ_ᴖ

Hace un tiempo que empezamos a ver el regreso de un accesorio muy importante y que había perdido vigencia en las tiendas: la mochila! Una tendencia que sin dudas me gustó desde el primer momento... Las mochilas tienen un encanto muy particular, además de ser muy prácticas, pero debo admitir que tardé bastante hasta encontrar una que fuese perfecta para mí. Las grandotas en telas estampadas y con vivos de cuero no son muy mi onda, las veo más indicadas para esos festivales de música como Coachella donde la onda boho-chic se impone, con su mix de texturas, denim roto, encajes y transparencias.

Era solo cuestión de paciencia hasta que apareciera la indicada... Hace un par de semanas encontré esta pequeña belleza con flecos y encima a un 65% de descuento. Era la última así que no lo pensé 2 veces y la llevé. Me encanta porque es del tamaño perfecto para mis días libres, donde sólo salgo con lo mínimo e indispensable. 

Qué opinan de las mochilas? Yay or Nay?

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you are enjoying it to the fullest... hopefully getting some rest and spending time with your loved ones. ᴖ_ᴖ

For a while now we´ve been seeing how a very popular bag has made its wat back to the trendy side of things... I´m talking about none other than: the backpack! This is a trend that I´ve been loving from the beginning... I feel that backpacks have a ver peculiar charm, besides being very practical and useful,  but I must admit It took me a while to find the right one for me. The big ones made with ethnic-inspired prints and leather trims are really not my cup of tea. Those look more coachella-festival appropriate where boho chic is the mother of styles with its mix of prints, lace, sheer and washed out denim. 

Anyways, it was just a matter of time until I´d come accross the right backpack for me... A few weeks ago I got this little fringed beauty AND I snatched it for 65%off. It was the very last one on the shelf so I didn´t think about it twice and bought it. I love it bcause its the perfect size for my days off, fitting the essentials only!

Obsession d´Orange

Con cada nueva estación y sus respectivas colecciones que van inundando el mercado, hay diferentes colores, estampados y texturas que toman protagonismo, para después  de unos meses disiparse como la niebla dando lugar a los nuevos favoritos. 

En mi caso, hay un color que hace bastante tiempo ya me tiene cautivada y es el NARANJA. Como podrán apreciar en los detalles del diseño del blog y en el outfit del día de hoy es un color que me encanta. No sé si será porque se fusiona y combina con el color de mi pelo o qué, pero me fascina! 

Por otro lado, aquellos que me sigan en instagram o facebook habrán visto que volvió el flequillo! Para los que no, lo notarán hoy... Y no vino solo, también fue acompañado de unos lindos tijeretazos! Ya verán el look mejor en los próximos posts. La verdad es que el rebajado que me había hecho se deformó todo y ya no me gustaba nada. Así que tal como dice el dicho, cortamos por lo sano! 

Y ustedes...¿Con qué color tienen fanatismo total?

With the arrival of each new season and its new collections that overflow the fashion market, there are always certain colors, prints and textures that stand out and set trends. But this tends to last for a few months only, and soon enough they´re gone and replaced with new favorites. 

In my case, there´s a color that I´ve been very much in love with for a while now and its Orange. You might notice that some of the details in my blog´s design are orange and of course you can see it on today´s look. I don´t really know why I like it so much... maybe it´s because I feel like it blends and matches my hair color. In any case I´m fascinated by it. 

On another note, those of you who follow me on I instagram or facebook might have seen that I got bangs again! And not only that, I also chopped off a few inches! You´ll see the new look better in the future posts. The truth is, I wasn´t happy at all with the layering I had, I felt like it lost shape and I didn´t like it. So bye bye ugly layers! Hello long bob! 

Now the question is...Which color are you totally smitten with?

LE FOULARD

Diría que cada vez que me visto de blanco y negro, inevitablemente siempre me pongo algo que le agregue un toque de color al look. Ese toque puede ser desde un labial en algún tono shocking, hasta una cartera llamativa o, como en las fotos de hoy, con un pañuelo estampado. 

Ya no debería sorprenderles que me encantan los pañuelos y quisiera contarles que no es por pura moda, sino que por salud también. Los uso porque me cubren la garganta, una parte muy sensible de mi cuerpo (un año tuve anginas 4 veces!). Con lo cual desde ese entonces activé el uso de pañuelos y foulards como éste, una nueva adquisición de mi primer visita a H&M. ¿No son muy lindas las mariposas que tiene estampadas? :)

¿Son de usar pañuelos? ¿Es un ítem clave al momento de vestirse?

I´d dare say that each time I dress up in black and white I always end up adding something else that´ll give it a pop of color. That can be done by wearing a shocking lipstick, a colorful bag or, like on today´s outfit, with a printed scarf. 

It should be no surprise by now that I love scarves and I´d like to state that it´s not only because I like them but also because they´re good for my health. I wear them because they cover a very sensitive part of my body, my throat (A while ago I had tonsillitis 4 times one same year!). Given that condition, I´ve since then got used to wearing scarves like this beautiful butterfly-printed one I´m showing today, one of my recent purchases from H&M. Isn´t it pretty? :)

BONJOUR!

Aquí está el primer post con fotos tomadas en mi nuevo paradero: Bruselas, Bélgica! 

Prepárense porque los nombres de todos los posts, lo más probable, serán en francés porque en dutch no sé ni decir por favor... Digamos que de momento no estaría entendiendo NADA en ese idioma. El francés es bastante más comprensible, además suena tan lindo... :) Planeo irme de acá pudiendo expresarme al menos un poco! 

A pesar de que acá es verano, es un lugar que se caracteriza por no tener un verano tal como el que solemos imaginar... es bastante fresco y llueve con frecuencia. Así que sabiendo que la mano venía así, al momento de hacer la valija, me preparé como para una "media estación". Sin embargo, hay días que hace mucho frío, con lo cual muy probablemente termine comprando algún sweater grueso -si acaso encuentro uno- para esos días ventosos!. 

Bruselas es una ciudad muy linda y pintoresca! Mañana tengo mi primer día libre desde que llegué así que me daré a la tarea de salir a caminar un poco y tomar fotos para compartir en un futuro post, junto con otras curiosidades sobre la ciudad que vaya recolectando.

Here´s the first outfit post from my current temporary home: Brussels, Belgium! 

Get ready because I´d dare say that most, if not all, of the future posts will be titled in french. Despite the fact that here both french and dutch are the official languages, I can´t even say please in dutch. Sooo, just for now, we´ll stick to french... which by the way sounds so beautiful and I find its easier to understand. :) I plan on learning enough french so that by the time I leave I can at least get by! 

One thing I´ve noticed is that summer doesn´t really exist very much here... Or at least it doesn´t match with the concept of summer that I´m familiar with. It´s quite chilly and it rains frequently. Knowing this a few days before coming, I tried to pack accordingly. But it´s still a little too cold for my taste... So if I happen to come across a chunky sweater I might end up buying one, for the windy days. LOL.

Brussels is a very nice city! Tomorrow I´m taking my first day off since I arrived, so I´ll be walking around and taking pictures to share in a future post, together with some facts about the city.
