HOME! Summer Style #1

 Estoy FELIZ. Por algunas semanas estoy de visita en mi ciudad, Buenos Aires. Eso significa que durante algunos días puedo disfrutar de mi familia, mi casa, mis amig@s, mi perro, mi cultura y todas esas cosas que me recuerdan quien soy y de donde vengo.

Esta época del año es particularmente linda acá. Todo a mí alrededor está confirmando la llegada del verano. Asique hoy les traigo un outfit veraniego. Soy muy pero muy fanática de las rayas y del estilo marine en general, hay un elemento gráfico que me fascina. No me importa si son verticales u horizontales, me gustan y punto. ¿A ustedes les gustan?

Las fotos las tomó una gran amiga (vamos a decirle Pichoncey) en mi casa después de un día de sol y pileta. Life is GOOD. Enjoy!

I AM HAPPY. For a few weeks I’m visiting home, that is, Buenos Aires. That means that for a few days I get to enjoy my family, my house, my friends, my dog, my culture (food!) and all of those things than remind me who I am and where I´m from.

This time of the year is particularly nice here. Everything happening around me is confirming that summer is just around the corner. So today I´m wearing a very summery outfit. I´m a big fan of stripes, actually of the whole marine style itself, there´s a graphic element to it that fascinates me. It doesn´t matter if they are vertical or horizontal, I like them and that´s it. Do you like stripes?

The pictures were taken by a great friend of mine (we´ll go ahead and call her Pichoncey) at my place after a lovely day of sunbathing and swimming. Life is GOOD. Enjoy!

Hot Pink & Animal Print!

Hoy por poco no logro mi misión fotográfica! Tal como les comenté en mi post anterior, en Panamá llueve mucho y hoy no tenía por qué ser la excepción. Al cielo panameño poco le importa que yo quiera subir algo nuevo a mi blog. Y como no tengo paraguas acá (y aunque lo tuviese, para usarlo en las fotos debería ser muy cool... como esos transparentes con vivos de colores! mmm quiero uno) tenía que buscar un lugar donde hacerlas sin empaparme.   Y fue entonces cuando recordé un sendero que había visto de pasada un día y supuse que era mi mejor alternativa. Creo que no me equivoqué. :)

Si hay algo que me encanta de los días lluviosos es que hacen que los colores resalten mucho más. Las plantas parecen más vivas y cobran otro protagonismo. 

Me gusta mucho como queda la mezcla de un color fuerte y llamativo como el fucsia, con negro y un estampado. Pruébenlo. Es una buena manera de armar un conjunto que salga un poco de lo clásico y esperable.

Today i almost couldn´t make it through my photographic mission. Like I said in my previous post, in Panama it rains a lot and today wouldn´t necessarily be the exception. Little does the panamenian sky care if I want to upload something new to my blog. And given the fact that I don´t have an umbrella here (and even if I did, to use it for my pics it would have to be very cool… like those clear ones with colored boarders! Hmm I want one)I had to find a spot where I could take the pictures without getting soaked. And then I remembered this narrow path i´d seen one day and I thought it´d be the best alternative. I think I wasn´t wrong. :)

What i love the most about rainy days is that they make all the colors pop. Plants look more alive and they take center stage. 

I really like mixing a bold color, like this hot pink, together with black and a cool pattern. Try it out! it´s a great way of styling an outfit that goes beyond casual and predictable ones.

Falda de Jean Tropical / Tropical Denim Skirt

Para este post, quería mostrar un poco el ambiente tropical en el que estoy. David es una ciudad relativamente chica en el interior de Panamá (cerca de la frontera con Costa Rica), de hecho muy chica en comparación a Buenos Aires que nunca jamás termina. Tiene muchas calles pequeñas llenas de rincones fotografiables, paredes de colores, plantas exóticas, carteles viejos y pastos crecidos. En el día de hoy, un clásico tropical: palmeras junto con otro rasgo muy notorio de estas latitudes: la lluvia (ver nubes en el fondo).

Mi outfit del día fue algo muy casual. Una mini de jean, una remera básica, unas plataformas veraniegas y para darle un toque especial me puse un pañuelo de mamá que amo desde hace años.

For this post i wanted to feature a little more the tropical scenery that surrounds me right now. David is a relatively small city in the outskirts of Panama (close to the Costa Rica border); actually very small compared to Buenos Aires which feels like it never ends. It´s small streets are filled with stuff to capture in photographs. Colored walls, exotic plants, old signs and overgrown grass. Today a tropical classic: palm trees together with yet another remarkable aspect of these latitudes: rain (see clouds in the background).

As to my outfit for today, I went for something very casual. A denim skirt, a basic T, summery platforms and to give it a special touch I wore a scarf from my mother that i´ve loved for years. I hope you like it!

Camel + Yute + Flores // Camel + Jute + Flowers

Hoy me puse uno de mis pantalones favoritos. ¿Quieren saber por qué razones tiene mi favoritismo? Hay tres: el modelo es genial, el color me encanta Y son elastizados. Pero creo que su mejor característica es la última, tienen Lycra! Me encanta usar pantalones y jeans chupines, pero cuando la tela es dura llega un punto en que me siento atrapada y no lo soporto más. ¿No les pasa lo mismo? Asique hace un tiempo que empecé a coleccionar prendas de este tipo. Si no lo probaron, les recomiendo que  le pongan un poco más de spandex a su vida!

Las sandalias de yute son un MUST de esta próxima temporada de verano… son comodísimas y muy fáciles de combinar. En Argentina deben estar apareciendo por las vidrieras! Quedan muy lindas con vestidos florales y también súper bien con denim (camisa, falda, shorts o jean… probá!).

AMO mi bolso de Puro! - i LOVE my Puro bag :)

Today i wore one of my favorite pair of pants. Do you want to know the reasons for this favoritism? There are three: the design is divine, I love the color and they are stretchy. But I think that the most important of its characteristics is the very last one, it has Lycra! I love wearing skinny jeans, but when the fabric is hard there comes a point when I feel trapped and I can´t stand it anymore. Does that happen to you? Anyways… a little while ago I started collecting these type of garments. If you haven´t tried it yet I encourage you to add a little spandex to your life!

Jute sandals are a total MUST for the summer… they´re comfortable and easy to pair. I´m sure they´re all over the window shops in Argentina. They look really nice with floral dresses, and also super cute with anything denim (shirt, skirt, shorts or jeans… try it out!).
